Buffalo Bill's America's Original Pumpkin Ale

Ale brewed with REAL pumpkin and natural spice flavors

Huh, okay.  Whatever you say Buffalo Bill.  This is the second Buffalo Bill beer we've tried, and while pretty tasty, it really didn't live up to the standard placed by the Buffalo Bill's Oranges and Awesome beer.  It did taste of delicious pumpkins, but tasted less like pie than the Dogfish Head Punk'in Ale.  A bit more sour and less sweet and less nutmeg pie spice taste. It tasted in fact like plain pumpkin, which everyone knows is not that awesome. Not bad, but not something we've made a regular drinking beer here at the EBB.

That being said, the majority of  that six pack has been sitting in Laura's fridge slowly going the route of all unwanted beers- into the pot. We've made a very satisfying chili out if it just this Monday, used it in some stir fry, and dumped a whole bottle into our Mardi Gras Jambalaya. Delicious.

How is pumpkin beer in stew? I've been afraid to use it, thinking the flavors might not work.
